【あらすじ】※本作はIF番外編ストーリーです
京桜府・桜嶺区に位置する国内最大級の規模と客数を誇る植物園「桜嶺臨海植物公園」。
四季折々の花や植物が自然に限りなく近い形で楽しめるため、開園以来、都会のオアシスとして国内外から客足の絶えない人気の観光スポットである。
そんな平和の象徴であるかのような植物園で、このところ不穏な現象が観測され始めた。
園内に生息する水鳥や動物たちが、次々と姿を消しているというのだ。
園の生態系を観察する学術班は当初、動物たちの季節的な移動や繁殖行動の変化だとして静観していた。
しかし、来場者からも原因不明の体調不良や貧血症状を訴える声が相次ぎ、事態を重く見た園は、全施設の休園を決定。
その後、外部の生物学者、土壌学者、病理医を含む専門の調査団が結成され、大規模な園内調査が実施されたが、動物の消失や人間の体調不良と関連づけられる明確な要因は発見されなかった。
しかし、ある日の夜中、巡回中の警備員が消息を絶つという事件を契機に、夜間の再調査が決定し、再び調査団が組織された。また、万一に備えて、七海たち防衛チームも調査団の護衛として同行することとなった。
今回の調査は、真夜中ということもあり、今までとは異なる不穏な空気が立ち込めていた。
鳥や動物たちの鳴き声が消え、異様な静けさに包まれた園内で、専門家の一人が忽然と姿を消す異変が発生。その後も、一人、また一人と調査団員達は消息を絶っていく。
ほどなくして、植物園のシンボルである巨大温室の一角が、不気味な振動とともに隆起しはじめる。
鈍い音を立ててガラスを突き破り、咆哮を上げながら姿を現したのは、密林のような植物に覆われた巨大生物。
植物園の地中深くに潜伏し、地上の生物を「養分」として吸収しながら成長を続けたその怪物は、紛れもなくヌメロン星人が用いる「侵蝕獣」であった。
…だが、その風貌と行動パターンは今までと少し異なっていた。
植物をベースにしている点は変わらないものの、この侵蝕獣は明らかな二足歩行を獲得しており、明確な意思を持って逃げ惑う調査団を追いかけてくる。
防衛チームのメンバーは、調査団の避難を優先しつつ、手持ちの火器で応戦するが、湿度を帯びた蔓と肉厚な枝葉に覆われた強固な体には明確なダメージを与えることはできず、調査団は窮地に陥る。
侵蝕獣の鞭のような触手が人々に迫るとき、まばゆい光とともに「女神」が降臨した―。

Located in the Ohrei District of Keioh Prefecture, the Ohrei Coastal Botanical Garden boasts one of the largest scales and visitor numbers in the nation.
With flowers and plants from all four seasons presented in a setting that closely resembles their natural habitats, it has been a beloved oasis in the city since its opening, drawing a steady stream of visitors from both within Japan and abroad.
However, in this seemingly peaceful sanctuary, unsettling events have recently begun to surface.
Waterfowl and other animals that live within the garden have been vanishing one after another.
At first, the academic team monitoring the ecosystem assumed this was simply due to seasonal migration or changes in breeding behavior, and chose to watch the situation quietly.
But soon, reports began to pour in from visitors complaining of unexplained fatigue and symptoms resembling anemia.
Taking the situation seriously, the garden’s management decided to close all facilities to the public.
A special investigation team was then formed, including outside biologists, soil scientists, and pathologists.
Despite conducting a large-scale investigation within the park, they could find no definitive cause linking the disappearance of animals with the decline in human health.
Then, one night, a security guard on patrol mysteriously vanished.
This prompted a decision to carry out a follow-up investigation during the nighttime.
Once again, a team of specialists was assembled — and to prepare for the worst, Nanami and her defense team were assigned as escorts.
From the start, the midnight investigation carried an ominous atmosphere unlike the previous ones.
The cries of birds and animals were gone, replaced by an eerie silence.
Amid this unnatural stillness, one of the specialists suddenly disappeared without a trace.
Then another… and another, until several members of the team were missing.
Before long, one corner of the botanical garden’s iconic giant greenhouse began to bulge upward with a sinister rumble.
With a dull crash, the glass shattered — and from the wreckage emerged a towering creature shrouded in jungle-like vegetation, letting out a deafening roar.
It was an Invasive Monster, the kind employed by the Alien Numeron, which had lain dormant deep beneath the garden.
Feeding on the life aboveground as “nutrients,” it had continued to grow in secret.
Yet something about this one was different.
While still plant-based, it had clearly developed bipedal movement and displayed a will of its own, actively pursuing the fleeing investigation team.
The defense squad prioritized evacuating the specialists while returning fire with their available weapons, but the creature’s body — armored with humid vines and thick leaves — absorbed most of the impact, leaving it largely unharmed.
The investigation team was pushed to the brink.
Just as the beast’s whip-like tendrils closed in on the people, a blinding light descended — and with it, a goddess appeared.
