Fansky policies
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we collect when you use Fansky, how we use and protect it, and how you can manage your information.
Effective date: March 12, 2024
01Scope
Fansky is operated by the Fansky team ("we" or "us"), and we are responsible for your personal information on Fansky. This policy covers the Fansky website and related services.
02Information we collect
Account information: email, username, avatar, and language and region settings. If you link Discord to sync membership roles, we store your Discord user ID.
Phone number: provided when you verify or link a phone number, along with records such as when it was linked.
Orders and payments: purchases, memberships, tips, top-ups, refunds, and after-sales records. Sensitive details such as card numbers are handled by payment providers.
Content you post: products, posts, comments, messages, support tickets, and uploaded files.
Creator information: shop details and the payout information needed for settlements and withdrawals.
Device and usage information: IP address, approximate location, browser and device type, visit records, and error logs.
03How we use information
To provide our services: sign-up and sign-in, completing orders, delivering content, handling after-sales cases, and payouts.
To keep Fansky safe: detecting unusual sign-ins, fraud, and abuse, and enforcing shop protection and purchase requirements (for example, limits by region, language, or phone number).
To send notifications: service messages about orders, after-sales cases, and account security are always sent. Updates from creators you follow, promotions, and offers can be turned off at any time in your notification settings or with the unsubscribe link in the email.
To improve Fansky: understanding how features are used and troubleshooting problems.
To meet legal obligations: tax, anti-money-laundering, and regulatory requirements, and responding to lawful requests from authorities.
04Payment information
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers. Your full card number, wallet account, and similar payment details are handled by those providers under their own privacy policies, and we do not store full card numbers. We only receive what we need to complete and reconcile orders, such as payment status, amount, and transaction ID.
05How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is necessary in these cases:
With creators: when you buy from, support, or contact a creator, they can see your display name, email address, order details, and messages so they can fulfill the order and provide after-sales support. Creators cannot see your payment card details.
With service providers: payment, cloud storage, email and SMS delivery, bot protection, analytics, and automatic translation of product details (Google Translate), who may process information only as we instruct.
For legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect the rights of users, creators, and Fansky.
In a business transfer: if we are involved in a merger or acquisition, the recipient must keep following this policy.
06Watermarks and content tracing
To protect their work, creators can add buyer-specific watermarks or tracing marks to files, so the source can be identified if the work is leaked.
If a creator turns on the buyer phone number watermark, you must verify your phone number before buying and downloading, and downloaded files may include your full phone number. The purchase page tells you about this in advance.
07Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies: keep you signed in and support your cart and security checks. Some features will not work without them.
Preferences: your language, theme, and similar settings are saved locally in your browser.
Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand how pages are visited.
Bot protection: sign-in, sign-up, and similar steps may use reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha to prevent automated abuse. These services process information about your device and behavior.
08International transfers
Fansky serves users worldwide, and our servers and those of our providers may be located outside your region. When information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.
09Retention and security
We keep information only as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal obligations. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information, while transaction records such as orders, payments, and refunds are kept for a period as required by tax and other laws.
We protect information with encrypted connections, access controls, and security monitoring, but no system is perfectly secure. If a security incident affects you, we will let you know promptly.
10Your rights
Depending on the laws where you live, you may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent you have given.
You can change most details directly in your account settings. For other requests, contact us by support ticket or email. We may need to verify your identity first.
11Additional information for EU and UK users
If you are in the EU, EEA, or UK, our legal bases for processing your personal information are: performing our contract with you (for example, completing orders), our legitimate interests (for example, preventing fraud and protecting creators), your consent (for example, marketing messages and non-essential cookies), and legal obligations (for example, tax records).
You can withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
12Children
Fansky is not intended for anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from someone under 18, we will delete the account and that information.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy and will update the effective date on this page when we do. We will tell you about major changes by site notification or email.
